MEDINA, Ohio -- Bowie came into my life last September after a family friend found a litter of kittens in her back yard. I couldn't resist his adorable little half-gray face and had to bring him home -- and he's been a spitfire ever since. Although we're unsure of who Bowie's father is, I'm convinced it was a dog of some sort. Because Bowie may look like a kitten, but he acts like a puppy. Starting very young, Bowie learned that his favorite activity was a nice game of fetch. He also enjoys chasing me around the house, giving me kisses when I ask, crying at the door if I leave the house, begging for snacks at the dinner table and cuddling up to watch TV at the end of the night. The most cat-like thing he does is purr. When the COVID-19 outbreak began, I was still based in New York City.
